Saying goodbye to Stewart

I know this is going to sound like the silliest thing you’ve ever heard….but yesterday was an emotional day. Bittersweet. It was the “official” goodbye to Fort Stewart. Yes, we’ve been stationed at Fort Sill since September but yesterday we said goodbye and signed the papers to our home on Lancaster Way in Richmond Hill,…

I just was telling someone how beautiful the drive was from Michigan to Arizona. I did it alone in 1997 I think. I rememberdriving back in the fall and somewhere in New Mexico the fields were ripe with chili peppers. It was a site I could never even imagine. Chili peppers for miles..hanging in doorways, still on the stalk, on trucks; Amazing!Georgia is like that with their cotton. It looks like a late fall snow. Gorgeous.Bless you for recognizing a blessing. America is beautiful!

We are so blessed to take notice of all the good that surrounds us! Each day I look around…and I am amazed by the view…mountains are everywhere.

They know a good idea when they see it (thinking the AWTR booklist here). Sorry girls! We can’t deliver free books, so this is definitely worth checking out.

Tara Crooks - January 30, 2009 - 2:03 pm

I actually posted our booklist to their website with our contact etc. information b/c they were looking for good books to add to this list. I figure – why not? Then we can all just go and get them for free! Nice!

Do you know if this is still available? I had trouble finding the free books! If I am going crazy and it is still there, can you post specific instructions of how to access the Library on the militaryonesource website.

#1. You must be logged in, which means you must be a military member or “dependent.”#2. From the main screen, after logging in, you will have to scroll down to see “Library” under “News & Community” on the left.#3. Clicking “Library” will bring you to the proper screen. You will find online library resources, playaway audio books and a list of available paperbacks. #4. There are fiction/non-fiction titles to choose from. Select your book and add to cart.Military One Source (MOS) will verify your address and send them out.Their caveat: “Some titles have limited quantities. These books will only be available while supplies last.”Remember, if you don't see what you want, you can try perusing our Amazon book store (http://astore.amazon.com/armywifetalkr-20). They're not free, but it's expansive and supplies will not likely run out anytime soon. Also, I don't see military kids' titles at MOS.

Save some bucks!
