What an awesome thing of you, and Sears! I'm not sure if the giftcards can be used at the portrait studios, but I'd love to get new pictures of our two boys taken (our youngest just turned a yr) so I could send my husband some great new pics!! If not, then I'd use it to buy him some new grilling things, since I know he loves to grill and is really missing not being able to cook/grill since he's currently deployed!
Thanks!

If I win a Sears I would put it towards my husband a new “bedding set”. He has just left for his 5th deployment and will be needing something once he figures out what his sleeping arrangements will be. Hopefully he will at least get a bunk so we can get him a cute lil college twin set or something!! LOL

My husband has been a soldier in the Army for 24 yrs and if I won this card I would buy him some golf accessories because golfing is his way of relaxing after a very long, stressful day of work. Thank you Sears for this opportunity! :)

I would love to be a winner of the gift cards. Since my husband deployed I havent really had any “me” time so its been hard with our 2 children. I could really use them to buy a dress for my husbands homecoming.

I would buy a new watch for my “HERO” his last one bit the dust on his most recent deployment. He needs it to be on time for our up coming nuptials. LOL

Cheryl - August 27, 2010 - 6:01 pm

I think I would get a new game! My soldier returned from deployment this summer and we do a family game night every Friday! A new game would be great for family time!

Anonymous - August 27, 2010 - 6:02 pm

I would certainly spend this on my hero who is getting back from his first deployment here very soon. Our four boys miss their dad so much and he has missed so much over this past year. We are so very excited to have our hero home from Afghanistan!!

Hi, my Hero just got home from Iraq 2 weeks ago!! I would treat him to some new casual clothes, as a reprieve from the constant ACU's & PT clothes. :)

KD Whitton - August 27, 2010 - 6:06 pm

I think it is great that there is so much support for the troops and their families. We appreciate all the support we can get! My family is about to move into on-post housing so we would treat ourselves to new home decor. Sears is always having great sales so we know we would find great deals! Thank you so much!

John and Kelly - August 27, 2010 - 6:07 pm

I would buy a video camera for the computer hook up. we just PCSed to hawaii and have two young children (14 months and 2.5 years). our son has a medical condition that requires weekly infusions at home. being able for him to see his popo and grandma would help tremendously while we do his treatment. not to mention being able to see my mom and talk to her when i am going through things that only another mom can understand ;)

Heather - August 27, 2010 - 6:07 pm

I would use the gift card to buy my husband who is in Afghanistan a good blanket before the winter comes :-)

I know this sounds really corny but I really just want to have a date with my husband… honestly just go to get some ice cream, hold hands and talk. We never get to seeing as he is always gone and ready to deploy soon, getting a date night is super hard when you are new to an area and have no family :(

Anonymous - August 27, 2010 - 6:24 pm

If I were to win a gift card, I would love to buy myself an outfit, and have my soldier take me out to dinner! but…. in reality, I would more than likely buy something for one of our four children! tammy4ladybug@hotmail.com

My soldier is unique I'm thankful for having him, I would love to get for him some shirts since he has lost a lot of weight he has just a few clothes of his new size.

If we were lucky enough to win a gift card..I would have our 14 month old daughter help pick out something special from her to daddy..! This is his 3rd deployment and being away from our baby is making it very tough..! Anything to help put a smile on his face would be amazing..!

My husband is leaving for NTC in three weeks for three full months.. we plan on getting our family pictures done before he leaves since he will be gone so longs and we always get them done at sears! SO if we were to win it would go to our family photo package.

myfirstbaby - August 27, 2010 - 6:41 pm

I would use towards a new pair of athletic shoes. He has been wearing the SAME pair for over 3 years now! They are falling apart etc, we just never have the extra moolah to purchase a new pair. :( This would be great! Thank-You!

We're newlyweds and this is our first duty station, so we're slowly buying small things to use around the house. The gift cards would go to each of us to pick out something on our 'want list'. Mine would be some decoration for our family room, and his would probably go to kitchen utensils because he likes to cook :)

I would get my husband a new electric razor since his last one was destroyed when he arrived in the sand.

Anonymous - August 27, 2010 - 7:12 pm

Mine and my husband's 3rd wedding anniversary is approaching in almost 2 weeks. He is deployed, just as he was for our 1st wedding anniversary, and I would love use the card towards his anniversary present. After almost 8 years together, and approaching 3 years married, it seems as though he should have all he would want or need, but I feel as though he deserves something that shows him how important he is to me and our 2 daughters. Hopefully, I can find that perfect gift at Sears, and could use the card towards that purchase.

I would love to win a Sears gift card so we could buy the paint we need to paint our bedroom before my husband leaves for deployment. Normally I would do it myself but we switched some of the furniture pieces around & I won't be able to move them by myself. And we normally have painting together so it would be nice to accomplish that task before he deploys.

Thank you for this contest! If we were to win, we would put the prize towards a new razor for my Hubby, since his fell apart at NTC. If we didn't use it for that, then we would put it towards a new lawn mower, since we live off post and ours died a few months ago. We would finally be able to stop borrowing from friends. Our third choice to use the prize for would be family Photos, since we only have a handful of pictures of the whole family together. Thank you, again, for this oppertunity!

Anonymous - August 27, 2010 - 8:31 pm

I love Sears…I would by my husband a new BBQ. That would be a great gift on his new promotion. The one thing he loves to do most when he is home is to entertain!! Love him

Anonymous - August 27, 2010 - 10:11 pm

I would use it toward a microwave because once we finally get an apartment instead of the hotel room we have on post, we're definately gonna need one. ;)

I would buy my hubby some new sheets and send them over to Iraq since that is where he is right now, and he told me the sheet he did get issued just is nothing like the ones at home. Also some picture frames for photos of our family to send. So he can put them on his headboard to see us every morning and every night. Sure is amazing how the little things matter the most when you are so far away.

Rachel R - August 28, 2010 - 12:45 am

That is an amazing thing that Sears is doing! That gift card would help my hubby and 15 other guys. They need a new set of headphones with a mic to be able to use skype. The old ones, the mic doesnt work so they have to type all there replies.
It would be amazing for not only me but for all the other wives and significant others to be able to hear our husbands talk while looking at there faces.

I would use the gift card to buy presents for my 4 FRG lead ladies. Although my hero married me 19 years ago on August 31st, it is my 4 FRG leaders who are the heroes making things happen back here for the families so that the soldiers have peace of mind that their loved ones are being taken care of.

I'd use the gift card towards new bedding and whatnot for our bedroom. Even though we've been married 7 years, we've never “decorated” our bedroom — so he's been sleeping on the same flowery bedding I've had for 15 years. I'm finally redecorating as a surprise for when he comes home from deployment…. No flowers allowed. :-) amr1263@sbcglobal.net

This is so awesome of Sears to do! They do so much for our heroes! If I won a gift certificate, I would use it to buy my husband some tools. He is a mechanic at heart. He does not get to work on vehicles that often as his job has him in the training room behind a desk. He would love more tools! Thank you!
