Tara,I am not a military spouse. I am a single mom with two little girls and we live in Houston, Texas. My fiance is in the National Guards based in South Dakota. For 8 months now (since he left for Iraq), reading posts on your blog has helped me overcome the very painful and conflicting emotions triggered by the separation. I really would like to attend this event and hopefully meet you to thank you in person for making a difference in my life. I think my fiance should be thankful too because without such a tremendous support by reading about so many heartfelt and truly amazing stories shared by very courageous women on this blog, I would not have the strength to support him in his military endeavors. Can I thus attend this event? Whom should I contact, here in HOuston?Thank you or all you do,Sophie
