Vacation education

Last week, my family and I, got the opportunity to break away for a few days for a vacation before our move. We have been looking forward to it for a long time, since my husband has been deployed for the last year. We live in Hawaii, so vacationing to the neighboring islands is a…

I LOVE IT! We do get caught up sometimes in our MILITARY lifestyle and forget there are others out there that don’t have a clue!

When you were young and we lived in the civilian community I think they thought we were from MARS!!! Dad was never home and they thought I was a single Mom!!!

Thanks mom. I have to admit, I was taken aback at first. But she was really nice and super interested. When you live it day to day, you do get caught up. I love how she asked me about the tv show. Her husband told her to stop! It was pretty funny!

Wow! I love your story,it is so similar to mine! My husband deployed last week, with his grandma who raised him dying unexpectedly 2days before. This is his 2nd deployment but this one is different because now I am his wife, just as you said. It’s great to hear how motivated you are because it is hard for me to even get out of bed some days. Our 3month is what gets me up and moving. Thank you for sharing your story and good luck to you and your husband! Best wishes, Casie Garcia.

The Bulldog at my Heels

While the cartoon is kinda funny, don’t we as military spouses sometimes feel that way? How did I let you talk me into this military life? While some marry into it, others are right there from the very first meeting with the recruiter. Yes, our soldiers are the ones that signed the enlistment contract but…
